We have a three year old son, Jack, who we adopted. Jack is a gift that we would have never been able to give to ourselves. He has brought so much joy and happiness not just to us, but to everyone that knows him. People who know us know how long we have been waiting to have children and to become a family. Jack is such a happy child. He knows how to make you laugh and he brings such warmth to our hearts. He is Sue's mother's first grandchild. He has made her life so special. She sends him cards at every holiday and always writes a sweet note to him about how much she loves him and how special he is. Sue’s mom is so excited to have another baby to spoil along with Jack. He is John's parent's youngest grandchild. He is their pride and joy. They are always talking about him to other people and telling stories. He likes to sit on Grandpa's lap and read books.
It will be positive for Jack and his sibling to have their individual and special adoption stories and know that having each other as siblings will be helpful for them as they both grow up.
Our dog, Bailey, is a five year old yellow lab. She is such a sweet dog. Many of the neighbors' kids come over to our house and ask if they can play with Bailey. When they do, we put her out in the back yard and the kids run around with her and they end up wearing out each other. Bailey is also a very smart dog, she knows many commands and listens very well. When we are out in the front of the house with her she stays with us. We take her to parks where she enjoys all the new smells. Bailey is very gentle around Jack. Bailey likes it when Jack gives her hugs. Her tail wags like crazy. Every morning on the way out the door Jack gets to hand Bailey a treat. They both like that routine.
